Grand Prairie ISD to Host School Choice Symposium

On Thursday, September 12, Grand Prairie ISD will host Choice: Its Role In Public Education Today at College Park Center on the campus of the University of Texas-Arlington.  The Symposium is designed for elected officials, school superintendents, education professionals, advocates, and interested parties to learn more about the subject of choice in public schools today.

Welcoming remarks will be offered by Dr. Vistasp Karbhari, President of UT-Arlington. Participants will learn about school choice models ranging from district choice programs to in-district charters, virtual schools and partnerships with other entities.

The cost to attend the symposium is FREE.  Please RSVP to Matthew Foster at matthew.foster@gpisd.org by September 4.
